It's a Party; that is, a Work Party When: Saturday, July 11th Time: 10:00AM Where: Schenectady site and then move to the Scotia site. Bring: Work tools for landscaping and dock/shed maintenance. WEAR: A smile. CREW FAMILY WATCH-parents and rowers-if you are in the area of the Schenectady site anytime over this summer, please stop and inspect for damages to either the property or our equipment. Send a quick email of your inspection to me or anyone else on the Board, even if everything is ok-it's nice to know you are watching. The last weekend in May SGS rowing attended the Pittsford Regatta, our away regatta for the Spring season. Through tough competition our boats were competitive and placed well. Special congratulations go to the Lightweight Girls 4+, they won their race and recieved gold medals. SGS Rowing will be holding a Learn to Row event on June 6th. The informational flyer is available for download here. Update: For the 6th, bring the Learn to Row information sheet and either the under 18 or over 18 years old waiver filled out.

Our varsity boys 4+ is in New Jersey this weekend competing in SRAA Nationals. So far, they finished 3rd in their heat and have advanced to semi-finals. They will race semis tomorrow at 10:20am for the chance to go to finals. For up to the minute updates and results, please check out the Live Updates section of the website. PS: The rowers would like to thank the girls who came down to watch them race and help them with oars and shoes, and to everyone who supported them and wished them good luck. Update: The boys were eliminated, 6th of 6 in their semi-final, and had the 11th fastest time through all semi-finals. Also, pictures from States as well as Nationals are up, and can be found under the Photos link to the left. |
